Early Childhood Programming

Birth to Age 5

Our team of early educators at South Washington County Schools (SoWashCo Schools) is excited to welcome your child and family to participate in our varied early learning opportunities. SoWashCo Schools is excited to offer both Preschool and Prekindergarten programming for our earliest learners. To aid in your selection, please note the following guidelines.

Preschool classes encourage children and families to explore early school experiences and concepts in an introduction to school and SoWashCo Schools. Preschool classes are an option for children who are 3 years on or after September 1 of the school year.

Prekindergarten classes are for children the year before kindergarten and focus on social development, early academic skills, and the transition to kindergarten. Our Prekindergarten program is an option for children who are age 4 on or prior to September 1 of the school year.

For children age 5 on or before September 1, SoWashCo Schools offers Kindergarten programming beginning in Fall.

We look forward to welcoming you to our Preschool and Prekindergarten programs.

SoWashCo Schools Early Childhood Education programs are offered through Community Education. Our early learning programs offer engaging and personalized experiences for our earliest learners from birth to age five.
