Staff at Armstrong Elementary School recognize the value of teaching students to be successful in all areas.
Armstrong Elementary School (AES) is committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive school community, with a focus on academic excellence and cultural celebration. The school’s staff is dedicated to the overall development of students, using strategies such as monthly character traits, weekly student shout-outs, and a weekly family newsletter to highlight important updates and recognize student achievements. AES also organizes school-wide cultural events, integrates AVID strategies across classrooms, and creates a welcoming environment with multilingual greeting posters to honor its diverse student body.
To maintain strong community connections, AES conducts an annual community culture survey, incorporating feedback to guide planning and celebrate cultural traditions. Teachers work closely with students to identify and address individual needs, providing tailored support through targeted services classes.
Community involvement is also an important part of Armstrong Elementary School. There is an active Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and several community-building events throughout the year.
